Salonpas® Pain Relieving Cream

Want a new way to treat pain? Try new Salonpas® Pain Relieving Cream. It numbs pain away with two clinically-studied anesthetics (Lidocaine and Benzyl Alcohol) that begin to work on contact providing targeted relief with no scent.

Contents: 85 grams

Active Ingredients (w/w)

  • Lidocaine HCl 4%
  • Benzyl alcohol 10%

Purpose: Topical analgesic

Uses

For temporary relief of pain and/or itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, minor cuts, scrapes, insect bites or minor skin irritations.

Warnings

For external use only

Do not use

  • in large quantities or over large area of the body
  • if you are allergic to any ingredients of this product
  • under a bandage
  • over raw surfaces or blistered areas
  • for teething pain

When using this product

  • use only as directed
  • avoid contact with eyes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with water.

Stop use and ask a doctor if

  • skin reactions occur, such as rash, itching, redness, irritation, pain, swelling and blistering
  • the following symptoms appear: weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing and/or pale, grey or blue coloured skin as these may be signs of methemoglobinemia, a rare disorder, which may appear up to 2 hours after use
  • condition worsens
  • symptoms persist for more than 7 days
  • symptoms clear up and occur again within a few days.

Keep out of reach of children.

If overdose or accidental ingestion occurs, call a Poison Control Centre immediately.

Directions

Adults and children 2 years of age and over:

  • clean and dry affected area
  • apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily
  • Children 2 to 12 years of age: application should be supervised by an adult
  • do not apply a bandage.

Other Information:

  • Avoid storing product in direct sunlight
  • Protect product from excessive moisture
  • Store with lid closed tightly.
